The Capital Book Launch of RecipeArium
My third book launch for RecipeArium is going to take place in Ottawa, during Can-Con.
This will be the singular capital event of this year in the capital city. You cannot afford to miss it! It’s about art. It’s about love. It’s about death.
In Zion people had cut the road at the bottom, through the mountains, following the curves of the valley along the rivers. So, in order to observe the canyons at Zion one needs to look up. One needs to walk through the bowels of the white whale that Zion is and search for its mouth.read more
“All roads lead to Ottawa” — That’s an expression. I didn’t say it. I’m merely quoting Cesar and that makes one wonder: How did he know about Ottawa?
I was twelve when a gypsy woman asked me for money.
Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy died today and the world will be poorer without him. Hefner was a visionary and a man of great taste. A Maecenas for countless artists. I was the art director of Playboy Magazine.read more
We had to cross the Painted Desert. An expanse of dry land peppered with buttes of different colours remains of a forgotten era when violent volcanic activities had spat into the desert ash and lava that had solidified and taken different colours in contact with local ore. The third day we left early for Monument Valley. I had an idea of what to expect and I was enthusiastic about that trip. I didn’t know at the time that this was going to be the day I saw them, the desert spirits.read more
The second day didn’t top the first day but was a very satisfying one. We spent a half day at Grand Canyon. Walked six miles (about 10 km) along the South Rim and discovered the fascinating history of the canyon.read more
pilgrimage to the Canyons. I know there isn’t such a thing, but it should be. It should be made official. Pilgrimage to these wonders of Nature. Why not? It’s an amazing trip of discovery, it’s an awe-inducing journey and it’s soul-healing. What else do we need from a pilgrimage?read more
How can educated people think that a united Europe it’s a mistake? That all those fifty countries fitting in half of the US should be left alone to fend for themselves and progress alone towards a future among the stars, in a world where totalitarian giants like Russia or China grow bigger, richer and meaner by the year. In a world where mad dictators threat with nuclear war, making the race to the stars ever more pressing.read more
