A thousand thanks to Sandra Kasturi and Brett Savory, who have invited me to read at the next Chiaroscuro Reading Series Toronto! Woohoo!!!
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 16th, from 8PM, at the ROUND Venue (152a Augusta Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2L5).
Other authors invited are: Robert Priest and Noah Wareness. And in between readings we’ll listen live to Kari Maaren’s songs. In case you haven’t before I urge you to attend a ChiSeries event. It’s one of the monthly literary highlights of the city.
Q&A for those who haven’t attended a ChiSeries before:
Q1 — Is this a bring your own booze kind of event?
A1 — NO! You’re strongly encouraged to use the ROUND’S bar on location.
Q2 — Is this a sing your own song kind of event?
A2 — POSSIBLY. They want everyone happy, so if you insist…
Q3 — Is this an after the reading there’s an orgy kind of event?
A3 — NO! You’re on the wrong page and if you got here by searching “orgy”, you need to change your search engine.
Q4 — Is this an I leave with books kind of event?
A4 — YES! If you buy them, you can leave with them.
There will be ChiZine Publications books sold by ChiZine. Usually Brett deals with that, so yes, you get to meet Brett Savory and ask him for an autograph. As you get to meet Sandra Kasturi and aks her for an autograph.
And there will be Bakka Phoenix Bookstore selling good books such as the one and only “RecipeArium”. Usually Chris Szego from Bakka deals with that.
