VENI, VIDI, EDO

This year, Vali and I have been invited to the 2018 Taste Canada Awards Gala, held at Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Splendid venue, delicious event. We were welcomed by tables topped with dozens of cheese types and styles, beautifully adorned with grapes, figs, artichokes, all sorts of marinades, and an assortment of flavors of humous. The wine was flowing and the guests were cheerful. We recognized several chefs in the crowd, trying to mingle before the big feast.
